What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that can be stored on a visitor’s device (may it be a computer, tablet or mobile device or any other alike) when you visit a website that allows the owner/operator of that website to recognize and remember that visitor. Such a file will typically contain the name of the originating domain, the lifetime of the cookie, and a randomly generated unique number or other value.
It is sent to the visitor’s browser and stored on his/hers device hard drive. When you visit our sites, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology.
Cookies used by UBooker registers a visitor as a unique user by means of a tracking ID. The cookie itself is anonymous and does not contain any Personal Data, except when such information has been agreed to be supplied by you through your consent (e.g. similar as when you provide your name and email address when completing a registration form).
GDPR and Your Privacy Rights
The General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 creates some new rights for European Union residents and obligation to EU based businesses with regard to processing of Personal Informations and strengthens some existing data protection rights.
To the extent that any cookie placed by UBooker or any third party that UBooker contracts/uses/ appeals to, as described in this document, can uniquely identify a device, or the visitor (e.g. a person considered as to be a data subject that is using that device) and in doing so, under GDPR, this is considered to be Personal Data (”Personal Information”). Therefore, please read our Privacy Policy that shall apply to any such Personal Informations collected from you and any other visitors of UBooker.
How does UBooker use cookies?
Cookies that are used by UBooker are to be referred as to be “first-party cookies” and those that are used by our different technology partners are to be called “third-party cookies”. Because of how cookies work, UBooker cannot access third-party cookies; nor can our technology partners access the data in our ”first-party cookies”.

These cookies are essential for the operation of UBooker website(s). Without the use of these cookies, parts of our websites would not function (e.g. the use of cookies to help identifying which of our visitors have previously registered in order to access his/hers account/registered profile).

We use these types of cookies to monitor our websites' performance and how users may interact with it. These cookies provide us with information that helps us provide better products to our users and also to identify any areas that may need maintenance. Cookies may be set by third parties, such as Google Analytics, but the data collected is controlled by us and only used to help us better understand and improve this Website.

4. Behavioral/Advertising Cookies
We use cookies to provide tailored advertising which we believe is relevant to you. Additionally, some of our partners use cookies on our sites in order to provide tailored advertising to you when you subsequently visit other sites. Online behavioral advertising is a way of providing advertisements on the websites you visit and making them more relevant to your interests. How do we use cookies for advertising?

We sometimes use information such as your IP address and browser type and also sometimes share some limited aspects of this with third parties for advertising purposes (e.g. we place a pixel on our web pages that allows Facebook to place cookies on web browsers, and a visitor who uses Facebook returns to Facebook, Facebook can identify them as part of a group of UBooker fans/visitors and on behalf of UBooker they can serve them with marketing messages from UBooker). Note that the data that can be obtained from a visit to UBooker is limited to the URL of the pages that have been visited and, in some cases, the status of any unfinished or completed a transactions undertaken with UBooker, together with the limited information a browser might pass on, such as its IP address. Please do note that we may also share online data collected through cookies and similar technology with our different technology partners, even with those specialized in online advertising (e.g. this means that when you are on another website, you may be shown advertising based on your browsing patterns on UBooker).
Also, online retargeting which relies massively on the use of cookies, is another form of online advertising that allows us and some of our technology partners (especially online advertising partners) to show you advertising based on your browsing patterns and interactions with other sites. (e.g. the use of cookies may mean that when you are on any another site that permits behavioural and/or cookie based advertising, you may be shown advertising based on what you have visited on UBooker).
UBooker integrates in its technology offerings (e.g. website(s), apps) third-party software that provides UBooker with information about how the app is used and what content you have viewed for the purposes of primarily analytics and second, online advertising, in a similar way to the UBooker website(s): it may be using cookies from some of the providers listed here, among others.
